After 20 years of making its name on the boys side of the action, Great American Shoot-Out under the direction of Mike Kunstadt and Sam Lowe, will continue building its girls summer hoops in 2010. Following the very successful model for providing boys maximum summer exposure, Great American Shoot-Out will host two events in the Spring and Summer of 2010.

The Girl's Spring Great American Shoot-Out event will tip-off on May 15-16 at the Integrated Athletic Developement (IAD) facility in Carrollton, TX. Each team will be guaranteed three (3) games with all teams advancing to bracket play. Games will be played over the two days with all championship games played on Sunday afternoon. Teams will be divided into three divisions of play. Graduating seniors through players entering the 9th grade (for the 2010-2011 school year) will be eligible.

======

On July 23-25, the Great American Shoot-Out will be hosting an open-period evaluation shoot-out for girls summer teams from across the state and nation. Division 1 coaches will be able to attend this top flight showcase in Texas as the nation's and state's top talent hits the hardwood. Games will be played at the 6 court Bob Knight Fieldhouse in Duncanville, TX. With years of experience in attracting college coaches to showcase events, the Great American Shoot-Out looks to replicate that model and provide Texas' girls players the same type of venue to showcase their talents.

All team coaches must register their team coaches and players on the NCAA Team Registration website. You must enter each coach and player's information as required by the NCAA to be eligible for open period events

NCAA Coaches Approval

All teams must also register their players at the NCAA Basketball Certification System:

NCAA Team Registration

Both of the above procedures must be completed prior to team participation at any event with NCAA Division 1 college coaches in attendance.
